Title: Mrs. J. T. Barnes' Hushpuppies
Yield: 1 Serving

Ingredients

      1    Cup yellow corn meal
    1/2    Cup flour
      1    egg
      1    Teaspoon sugar
      4    Teaspoons diced onion
      1    Dash salt
      1    Cup buttermilk

Instructions

Mix all ingredients until well blended. Drop by spoonful into hot oil. Fry
until brown. May substitute 1 cup sweet milk plus 1 teaspoon soda for
buttermilk.
