Title: Cow Pies
Yield: 24 Servings

Ingredients

      2 c  milk chocolate chips; 12-oz.
      1 tb shortening
    1/2 c  raisins
    1/2 c  slivered almonds; chopped

Instructions

In a double boiler over simmering water, melt the chocolate chips and
shortening, stirring until smooth. Remove from the heat; stir in raisins
and almonds. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Chill until ready to
serve. Yield: 2 dozen. Formatted by Lynn Thomas dcqp82a@prodigy.com.
Source: Taste of Home: Collector's Edition. Lynn's notes: These were quick
and easy to do. I toasted the almonds before using to add more flavor. I
made 12 large cowpies instead of 24 small ones. Great recipe with no
baking.
