Title: Pinto Bean Cake
Yield: 8 Servings

Ingredients

    1/2 c  margarine
      2 c  sugar
      2    eggs
      2 c  refried beans or pinto beans
    1/2 c  chopped nuts
  1 1/4 c  flour
    1/2 ts baking powder
      1 ts each cinnamon & soda
    1/2 ts each cloves & allspice

Instructions

------------------------------------GLAZE-----------------------------------
1 c brown sugar
1/4 c milk
1 stick margarine
1 ts vanilla

Cream margarine, eggs & sugar. (If using pinto beans, put them through a
blender). Add beans to creamed mixture alternately with sifted dry
ingredients. Add nuts. Bake in greased & floured 9x13-inch pan 1 hour or
until done. Glaze. Glaze: Mix sugar, milk & butter in heavy saucepan. Boil
5 minutes, stir in vanilla. Pour over hot cake.
