Guacamole With Oven-Baked Tortillas

Ingredients
--------------------INGREDIENTS FOR GUACAMOLE-------------------------
2 jalapeno peppers; finely
-chopped
2 ripe haas avocados; coarsely
- chopped
2 tb red onion; finely diced
1/4 c lime juice
3 tb cilantro; coarsely chopped
1 salt and freshly ground
-pepper; to taste
----------------------INGREDIENTS FOR CHIPS---------------------------
4 yellow corn tortillas; cut
-into eighths
4 blue corn tortillas; cut
-into eighths
2 tb vegetable oil
2 tb kosher salt
Instructions
How to Prepare the Guacamole:
1. Heat a small saute pan over high heat until just smoking.
2. Sear the peppers on both sides until black. When cool enough to
handle, peel the skin off and chop finely.
3. Combine the peppers, avocados, red onion, lime juice, and cilantro,
and season with salt and pepper to taste.
How to Prepare the Chips:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
2. Brush the chips lightly with the oil on both sides and sprinkle with
salt to taste.
3. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes or until lightly
